About

It all started when…

I returned home from the hospital with a different understanding of life. I promised myself that whatever I did during my stay on this earth I would do the things I love. One of those things is creating jewelry and many other little things.

At 24 I had to start receiving dialysis treatments due to kidney failure because of an Autoimmune disease. At 25 I had to have open heart surgery due to a blood clot in my heart. I spent a month in the hospital, after a few surgeries I was able to go home and continue recovering. My amazing mother started to teach me her jewelry making trade and I fell in love. It was perfect for my recovery and I got to bond with my mom. I still receive dialysis treatments 3 times a week and will continue until i receive a new kidney. A kidney transplant is a huge deal and I hope I get that call soon.

Meantime, I will be sharing my wearable art with the world. It is an honor an a privilege to be able to share my work. For the past couple of years I have only sold to friends and family. However I will soon be on the transplant list and will need to start saving for my medical expenses.

I strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible. I use natural and glass stones as well metals and clay in my products. Thank you for shopping Handmade!
